Yoga Nidra (Deep Rest)
Tuesdays | 8-9pm | Human Habits, Lloydminster (5101 49 Street)
Yoga nidra (also called yogic sleep) is a deeply restorative practice that helps balance out the demands of day-to-day life, without actually falling asleep. It involves lying down in a comfortable position and following a set of verbal instructions that lead to complete physical, mental, and emotional relaxation. The goal is to reach a state of deep calmness while maintaining consciousness, which can have rejuvenating effects on the body and mind. Regular practice of yoga nidra can reduce cortisol levels, improve sleep quality, reduce stress/anxiety and have a positive impact on overall health.
